MOOMOOs in Singapore were treated to not one but two memorable encounters with MAMAMOO this year. The group first graced the Lion City with their presence during their world tour [MY CON] in February, and the excitement continued as the sub-unit, MAMAMOO+, staged their first fan concert in Singapore on Wednesday, 15 November 2023, at The Star Theatre.

Despite the midweek scheduling, thousands of enthusiastic fans gathered in red and with their light sticks (Moobong) to witness the approximately 2-hour-long spectacle, featuring a lineup of duo stages, solo performances, and interactive segments.

The fan concert took an unexpected turn when a technical glitch disrupted the performance of the popular track “GGBB.” However, what could have been a stumbling block turned into a magical moment as the duo showcased their professionalism. The unplanned acapella rendition, accompanied by the harmonious sing-along of MOOMOOs turned the setback into a mass karaoke session, creating an unforgettable experience for both artists and fans.

Each member of MAMAMOO+ took the spotlight with three solo stages, showcasing their individual talents and charisma. Solar, dressed in a striking red outfit, mesmerized the audience with performances of “Adrenaline,” “Spit it Out,” and “HONEY.” Meanwhile, Moon Byul, donning a stylish red top and white bottom, captivated fans with renditions of “ddu ddu ddu,” “CITT,” and “Shutdown.”

Adding an extra layer of excitement to the fan concert, a game segment titled “TWO RABBITS CARD!” engaged fans with a card guessing game with MAMAMOO+. The success of the game led to an impromptu random dance challenge. Expressing their joy at meeting Singapore MOOMOOs, Solar shared, “We’re so happy to meet Singapore MOOMOOs, most importantly, we are able to see Singapore MOOMOOs before the year ends.”

Singaporean MOOMOOs showcased their respect and admiration for MAMAMOO+ as they refrained from mobbing the members during their interactions. As Solar and Moon Byul walked down the stalls during different stages, fans maintained their composure, standing at their seats and warmly greeting the artists, creating a harmonious and respectful atmosphere.

The MAMAMOO+ fan concert in Singapore showcased MAMAMOO+’s versatility, resilience in the face of technical difficulties, and the unwavering support of the passionate Singapore MOOMOOs. We hope to see them on our sunny island again soon!
