“Music is about honesty and I would like to say I gave 100% of my energy” – eaJ

Singer-songwriter and composer eaJ, also known as Jae Park, was in Singapore on 9th September for his Singapore show of the “when the rain stopped following me” Asia Tour at Capitol Theatre. eaJ’s last concert was held in 2022 at Gateway Theatre.

Just before the concert, eaJ took to Instagram, requesting fans to sing along with him as he joked that his voice had taken a “vacation”. Despite this, song after song, we are marveled as he managed to hit the high notes of the songs effortlessly. The energy in the theatre was all-high, with the audience standing throughout the show from the beginning, despite it being a seated concert.

During breaks between songs, eaJ shared some personal and inspirational reflections, with on of the most memorable quote from that night being “It does get better, and it does go”. This seems to resonate deeply with fans, as quiet sniffles could be heard around us.

Unlike usual concert formats, eaJ moved into the stalls, interacting with fans, hugging one lucky fan, handing out the umbrella props he packed up from the stage, and even standing on the seats singing his heart out.

The intimate concert was a night that offered fans a unique experience, where fans got to hear his songs live and join him in singing. eaJ continues his tour in Tokyo on 11th September and in Seoul on the 13th and 14th September.
