South Korean actor Yoo Yeon Seok was in town this month for the 2025 YOO YEON SEOK FANMEETING [The Secret Code : Y] ASIA TOUR, marking the actor’s first time to hold an official fanmeeting here in Singapore.  

Known for his versatility, Yoo Yeon Seok has played notable roles such as the soft-hearted, loveable Ahn Jeong Won in the “Hospital Playlist” drama series, as well as the chic, charismatic Baek Sa Eon in “When The Phone Rings” which earned him various awards for his performances. Not only is he an actor with a wide range, he has also captivated audiences with his powerful vocals as a Musical Actor and Singer. 

Here are some highlights from the spectacular evening:

The event kicked off with the familiar OST “See The Light” to the popular drama “When the Phone Rings” – A song that left every Yeondeokie (Yoo Yeon Seok’s fan name) with many emotions during the heartfelt scenes. This drew the scene for the start of a fanmeet down the memory lane!

During a pre-show voting, Yeondeokies got to know the actor himself better by guessing his favourite hairstyle, show and things to do while travelling. This was an exciting way to understand the actor and his preferences, giving fans a quick glimpse into behind-the-scenes of his favourite dramas. (As an introvert, Yoo Yeon Seok tends to be shy in fans’ eyes.) Through the games played during the fan meet, they had a rare chance to see his playful personality, which fans only got to see through the variety show “Whenever Possible”. There were many unexpected moments which led to funny interactions with his fans and he ended the games by gifting some of the props to lucky fans!

Fans also had the opportunity to hear Yoo Yeon Seok serenade to the song “To You”, an OST sung by the actor himself for the drama “Hospital Playlist 2”. The actor specially prepared this song just for Singaporean Yeondeokies, knowing that many loved the “Hospital Playlist” drama series (and are still eagerly waiting for the next season!).  Accompanied by the melody from an acoustic guitar played by the Music Director of the musical “Hedwig And The Angry Inch”, it was the first time he exclusively showcased an acoustic version of the song, allowing fans to reminisce about Ahn Jeong Won and the loving chemistry of the Winter Garden couple. 

In return, fans also specially prepared a fan project video for him, to express their heartfelt gratitude for him and his hard work throughout his 23-year career. Yeondeokies also wished him a happy birthday for his upcoming birthday in April. He showed his appreciation for fans and the unexpected fan project, thanking the fans for their unwavering support and love.

As a final surprise, he sang a few songs from his musical, Hedwig. We were completely drawn in the moment he started singing and could feel his passion and love for musicals. This magical moment was honestly one of the best ways to end the night.
