Last Saturday, 14 March 2026, 10CM (also known as Kwon Jung-yeol) returned to Singapore. This time, the concert felt different. Stripped of usual fanfare and polished routines, it became a pure, in-the-moment experience.
The concert at The Theatre at Mediacorp started with quiet honesty as 10CM walked out to the stage. The singer revealed that his throat had not been in the best condition since morning. With sincerity that touched every fan, he explained that the show wouldn’t be the “usual” 10CM performance, but it would still go on as planned, as he was determined to perform for the Centiners who were already seated and looking forward to the show. As he was not able to deliver a high-quality performance, full refunds were offered. He then made a simple but meaningful request for fans to not record the concert. For this concert, it was just him and his fans, and that made all the difference.
From the very first note, the energy was shared, with fans in the stalls and circles singing along, voices blending in with 10CM’s. Songs like Stalker, Love in the Milky Way Cafe, and Hug Me became collective experiences rather than performances.
One of the evening’s more memorable moments was a performance of Phonecert, made poignant by a retro phone booth brought on stage. The static crackle of the receiver filled the theatre, creating an almost cinematic backdrop for 10CM’s tender vocals.
Even when 10CM paused mid-song, the fans’ support was unwavering. Their voices filled in the gaps, creating a sense of closeness rarely seen in typical concerts. Towards the end, the singer grew visibly moved as Centiners stayed with him through the uncertainties, their patience and devotion amplifying the emotional weight of the night.
