What Does ‘The Origin’ Mean After 15 Years? Apink Has an Answer for Singapore.

On paper, The Origin suggests a return to where it all began. However at 2026 Apink Asia Tour <The Origin : APINK> in Singapore, the night quickly revealed something more layered. Inside Arena @ EXPO, this was not about going backwards, it was about holding multiple versions of themselves at once.

Even before the members appeared, Pandas already set the tone. Fans chanted along instinctively to music videos playing on the screen, turning anticipation into a shared, lived memory.

Then, with rhinestones catching every beam and boots clicking across the platform, the five ladies appeared — just slightly over a year since their last visit to the lion city. Their presence was a visual callback to who they are now; mature, confident performers; a spark of difference from the bright, innocent styling of their early years. They opened with I Don’t Know followed by BUBIBU, My My and No No No; a run of debut-era tracks that anchored the first act in familiarity while showing their evolution.

Between songs, APINK leaned into fan engagement without over-structuring it. Referencing their first visit to Singapore in 2015, the members acknowledged both returning fans and those seeing them live for the first time. Hayoung, in particular, delivered parts of her ments in English; sincerely prepared, slightly nervous, and met with immediate encouragement from the audience.

During Wishlist the members moved freely across the arena floor, tossing signed balls into the crowd, blowing kisses, making finger hearts, and dancing alongside fans.

A VCR segment then reimagined the group as a fictional boy band, “Agreen”, assigning new roles in a playful parody. It set up the transition into a performance stage, opening with a cover of TVXQ’s Mirotic. Dressed in black suits, APINK returned with a cooler, more commanding presence, while the fans roared in appreciation. From there, the setlist moved into Apink’s more mature catalogue, including %% (Eung Eung), Dilemma, and I’m So Sick, embracing a sensual, girl-crush energy through choreography and styling.

Returning to brighter tracks like LUV, Mr Chu, Hush and Remember, they appeared in coordinated all-white outfits. The minimal staging allowed their vocals to take center stage, highlighting growth without losing the charm of their earlier identity.

Playful moments continued with parody VCRs referencing The Wicked, Zootopia, and Kpop Demon Hunters, Avatar aesthetics, keeping the show lighthearted and fun. These interludes showcases Apink’s humour and creativity alongside their polished performance.

The encore shifted into heartfelt fan interactions, featuring fan songs including Hold My Hand, Sunshine and Sky-High as confetti rained down, each piece carrying a personal handwritten message from the members – five unique notes of gratitude and love. As the members sang, lines like “Shine upon my world with a bright light” from Sunshine felt almost literal, the audience’s glow sticks mirroring the song’s hopeful energy. Namjoo’s prepared English letter added another layer of sincerity, expressing hope that the day’s memories would bring smiles long after the concert ended.

By this point, the night’s pattern was clear. The setlist wasn’t about blending eras, it was about juxtaposing them. Debut hits, girl-crush tracks, playful parodies, and performance-heavy stages coexisted side by side. Apink didn’t choose a single version of themselves—they celebrated all of them.

Fans met that ambition at every turn. From the doors opening, Singapore Pandas were unstoppable, appearing in pink wigs, shirts, and full outfits across all ages and genders. Their chants matched the group’s performances, often reaching levels as loud as Eunji’s own — a feat that would be intimidating for any artist.

A spontaneous shouting challenge; triggered by a fan calling out “crazy”; made it clear: Singapore fans were performing alongside Apink.

Even during quieter songs or ballads, the energy never waned, creating a feedback loop that pushed the group to deliver their best in every moment.

In that space, between glittering confetti, soaring vocals, and relentless fan engagement, it was a true testament to the symbiotic relationship between Apink and their Pandas.
