Talk about fresh blood in the house! JYP Entertainment’s newest boy group, NEXZ, made their Singapore debut on 12 July with their very first global showcase in the Lion City. Held at the Capitol Theatre, the showcase celebrated the release of their second single album, Mmchk.

From the moment the lights went out, NEXZ captivated the audience with their youthful charisma, boundless energy and polished stage presence. Backed by impressive live vocals and powerful choreography, the seven members delivered a performance that proved why they are one of K-pop’s rising groups.

The showcase wasn’t solely focused on performances either. Between stages, the members took part in several interactive talk segments where they introduced MMCK, attempted viral dance challenges and played a fun “Guess the Song” game. Fans enthusiastically participated throughout the session, helping the members secure their victory and creating plenty of memorable moments filled with laughter.

What made the showcase especially memorable, however, was the group’s sincere effort to connect with everyone in attendance. Rather than staying confined to the stage, the members made their way down the aisles to greet fans at the back of the standing section before heading up to the second-floor stalls, ensuring that supporters from every corner of the theatre had the opportunity to see them up close. Their thoughtful gestures highlighted just how much they valued the fans who had come to spend the afternoon with them.

As a final gesture of appreciation, NEXZ held a goodbye session where every attendee was able to personally wave farewell to the group. With the Capitol Theatre packed from floor to balcony, taking the time to bid goodbye to each fan was a thoughtful touch that perfectly reflected the group’s sincere gratitude for the support they have received.

Bringing their first global showcase tour to a close in Singapore, NEXZ left fans with lasting memories through both their electrifying performances and heartfelt fan interactions. If this showcase is any indication of what’s to come, there’s plenty to look forward to as the group continues its journey on the global stage.
