Seo Kang Joon and Lee Dong Hwi came to Singapore on the 22nd of November to promote the latest Korean drama ‘Entourage’ as part of the main casts.
Entourage is a Korean remake of the hit American HBO show, ‘Entourage’ and is set to portray the reality behind the scenes of the Korean entertainment industry. Cha Young Bin (Seo Kang Joon) is a rising star actor in Korea and has been best friends with Lee Ho Jin (Park Jung Min), Cha Joon (Lee Kwang Soo) and Geobook (Lee Dong Hwi) since young.
As it was Lee Dong Hwi‘s 1st time in Singapore, he shared that he was amazed at how beautiful Singapore is and also the advances the country has made. Seo Kang Joon liked the country’s cleanliness and the order of Singapore. Prior to his 1st visit promoting ‘Cheese in The Trap’ in Singapore, he hopes to have an even more memorable time here!
When asked if there were any memorable scenes that happened during the filming, Seo Kang Joon expressed that he had an enjoyable time filming the drama and felt that he was not filming a drama but just hanging out with the other cast members. It was truly an extraordinary experience for him.
For Lee Dong Hwi, he felt that he had a once-in-a-lifetime experience during the filming as he may not encounter a drama like this in the future and he also liked the closeness among the cast members.
The both of them exclaimed unanimously that their most memorable scene of the drama would be when one of the cast members, Lee Kwang Soo, punched a hamburger!
When asked about the most challenging parts while filming and also if they had any concerns beforehand, Lee Dong Hwi mentioned that acting is not easy and it always worries him about what genre he should take on next. His most challenging moment was when he had to portray himself as a good friend of Cha Young Bin as he had to let the viewers feel that there’s no awkwardness between them.
For Seo Kang Joon, as he was filming for another drama ‘Cheese in the Trap’ previously, he wanted to show a different side of himself for ‘Entourage’ and to try to make the Korean version of the drama as interesting as the original and make it come alive.
Seo Kang Joon felt that he is very different from his onscreen character as Cha Young Bin will try to accustom to his friends and do everything to make his friends happy like hanging out at popular places while in the reality, he usually stays at home to play with his cat, go out for a drink or take a walk along the Han river. Also in the drama, Cha Young Bin is a top star in Korea which is someone he aspires to become.
Lee Dong Hwi‘s character “Turtle” in Entourage mainly goes out to play and is one who doesn’t work and basically depends on his friends. But soon he felt guilty and started working to earn a living. On the other hand, in reality, he feels like he’s the direct opposite of “Turtle” and is an independent person who tries to resolve problems on his own and is one who doesn’t like to depend on his friends.
WHY WATCH ENTOURAGE?
Seo Kang Joon feels that ‘Entourage’ is a drama about Friendship and Love that really conveys the happiness in the entertainment industry. While filming for the drama, he was reminded of his own friends.
Lee Dong Hwi felt that this drama shows how he had matured through the experiences in the entertainment industry. So for the viewers who are curious about the industry, this would be a very good drama for them to watch. Also, the drama displays the chemistry between the main characters in the drama and that is why he feels that all should watch the drama.
