As brand ambassadors for Skechers, Suho, Chanyeol, and Sehun were in Singapore for the Skechers Sweet Monster K-Pop Dance Competition Finale held last Saturday. More than 5,000 fans of the top South Korean K-Pop boy band EXO showed up at Causeway Point.
During the press conference, the members revealed that they’ve always wanted to visit the Marina Bay Sands Skypark. They finally got to see it when they arrived the previous day and found the view beautiful. Chanyeol found it a pity that they didn’t manage to swim in the infinity pool and revealed that he wants to head back to the hotel the next time he comes to Singapore.
For their choice of shoe for the press conference, Suho and Chanyeol picked the grey while Sehun picked the black coloured Skechers shoe. However, Chanyeol thinks that the black and white Skechers shoe will be really pretty if matched with casual street wear.
Some pieces of advice to the youths taking part in the competition?
Suho: “If you chase your dreams, it will come true. I hope that these youths will become great dancers or singers.”
Chanyeol: “If you’re desperate enough and dream big, you’ll be able to fulfill your dreams and good luck!”
If EXO members were the judges for the dance competition, what will you look out for in the participants?
Suho: There are many people in the world who dance really well and personally, I will look out for the feel and the x-factor of the dance.
Suho also revealed that EXO has already started to plan for their next concert tour and that they’ve been preparing a new album and it will be released really soon.
Fans, some who started queueing since 12.30AM, screamed and cheered when the emcee announced the arrival of EXO members Suho, Chanyeol, and Sehun.
Virus Ladies from Malaysia was crowned the Champion of the Dance Competition and also got the chance to take a picture with the three members of EXO onstage. The winning group won themselves the champion trophy and cash worth of USD$3,000, while STARREseconds from Singapore and K-Boy from Thailand won the first runner-up trophy and USD$2,000 cash and second runner-up trophy and USD$1,000 cash respectively.
To end the event, the winning group; Virus Ladies took over the stage with their synchronized dance moves and wowed the audience once again.
