As part of the judging panel for the K-pop World Festival Singapore Preliminary round, bassist of the popular band CNBlue, Lee Jung Shin, held a short Meet and Greet with his fans at the newly opened “Our Tampines Hub” before the event began.
“First of all, I’m very honored to be part of this K-Pop World Festival Preliminary round. I’m really happy to be back in Singapore and to be able to meet all my fans here is really an honour.”
“To be honest, I didn’t expect so many fans to be here today and I hope that we’ll have a fun and exciting time today at the event.”
So.. What has Jung Shin been up to recently?
“I’ve been busy filming my latest drama “My Sassy Girl” which ended filming recently. Next up, I’ll be working on CNBlue’s next album and I’m also looking out for opportunities to film a new drama. Also, CNBlue is currently on our Asian tour, so please continue to give us your support.”
Jung Shin ended the Meet and Greet by sharing with us about his idol journey.
He said “First of all, I want to say that being an idol has its own challenges but I’m really happy and my journey has been great as I received a lot of love from my fans. I want to say that it will not be an easy journey but you will definitely gain a lot and through this journey, you will be able to find out more about yourself.”
Before announcing the winners for the performance and vocal category, Jung Shin expressed that he was really impressed with the incredible performances by the participants tonight and as a K-Pop artist, he is really proud to see so many in love with K-pop.
“I can really see the passion through their performances. Thank You all for your hard work.”
Dance crew H.I.M won the performance category while dancing to VIXX’s songs, and soloist singer Akif Halqi won the vocal category while singing and dancing to Ailee’s “I Will Show You”.
The shortlisted preliminary finalists can look forward to an ultimate chance to visit Korea to experience the Korean culture and have the chance to share the stage with some of the biggest names in Korean Pop Music industry like TWICE and BTS!
