[UPCOMING EVENT] Samsung celebrates Singapore ahead of Galaxy UNPACKED 2018.

In celebration of National Day and the lead-up to the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy UNPACKED 2018 which are both taking place on 9 August, Samsung Electronics Singapore today unveiled its campaign to celebrate Singapore, its past, future and people. In addition to giving back to the local community, Samsung will also be unveiling the latest newcomer in its Galaxy device line-up in Singapore.
As part of the celebrations, Samsung will be partnering with Viu to bring Hallyu artistes Park Min Young and Kim Jong Kook to meet their Singaporean fans at the exclusive launch event.

“This year, Samsung is taking the opportunity to give back to our consumers in Singapore. We are committed to progress, especially in the innovations we bring to the people. It is also this spirit of progress that Singapore possesses that we want to celebrate,” said Mr Lee Jui Siang, President, Samsung Electronics Singapore.

“We are extremely excited as the Samsung Galaxy UNPACKED 2018 draws closer. Several initiatives have been lined up to showcase the latest Galaxy device, and to reward and thank our customers for their support all these years, while also empowering those who have worked hard to give our future generations a better tomorrow.”

Celebrating Singapore

Samsung reminiscences about the old days of Singapore, and how far our nation has progressed since its founding days. In collaboration with homegrown Singaporean artist Dawn Ang, Samsung celebrates Singapore in launching the “Power to Progress” video, that pens our country’s journey to the present. The 90-sec video features the illustration of a mural with a single stroke of a pen, sketching out our homeland’s many milestones, and culminating in a visual reminder of the toils and perseverance of Singapore and its people.

The video tells the story of our society’s achievements and success, with diverse races and culture rooted within. As the mural comes to life, it is representative of the call for Singaporeans to come together to shape the nation’s future. Samsung is committed to being a part of this journey and powering progress, with new innovations towards a better tomorrow.
