The 23-year-old Park Bo Gum debuted in 2011 with the film, “Blind” and landed his first major role in the 2013 drama, “Wonderful Mama”. He has since starred in many popular films and television dramas, including “Bridal Mask”, “Wonderful Days”, “Tomorrow Cantabile”, “A Hard Day” etc.

In 2015, Park gained rave reviews for his scene-stealing role in the crime drama, “Hello Monster”. His memorable performance won him two awards, “Popularity Actor Award” and “Best Supporting Actor”, at the annual KBS Drama Awards ceremony. In the same year, Park was also casted as one of the leads in the third instalment of the widely known Reply series, “Reply 1988”. Set in 1980’s Seoul, Park played the genius but socially inept Go-player Choi Taek. The series was a hit, with audience ratings peaking at 18%, making it the highest-rated show in Korea’s cable television history. It catapulted Park to fame in Korea and made him an emerging Korean Wave star in the rest of Asia.

Less than a year later, Park took on the role of the charming Crown Prince Lee Yeong in his first historical romance drama, “Love in the Moonlight”. He won over the hearts of viewers with his pure, innocent image as well as sweet and romantic lines, giving rise to the term, “Bo Gum Magic”. A domestic and international hit, the drama sparked off a “Park Bo Gum Syndrome” that further propelled Park’s popularity and solidified his status as a top Hallyu star, in addition to being a versatile leading actor.

Park also released his first song, “My Person”, as part of “Love in the Moonlight” original soundtrack. StarHub is scheduled to broadcast “Love in the Moonlight” on E-City, Channel 825 on every Saturday at 11pm, from 11 February 2017 onwards.

As a multi-talented actor, Park was the co-host for Music Bank, a weekly live music program, alongside with Irene from Red Velvet. Their chemistry, hosting and singing skills was highly praised by the public and the press even called them one of the best partnerships in the show’s 18-year history. In recognition of his excellent work, Park was awarded the “Best Newcomer Award” at the annual KBS Entertainment Awards.

In a short span of 5 years, Park has won many awards for his exceptional performance and popularity, with 2016 being an especially fruitful year for the star. To date, he has already won 11 awards in and out of Korea, including tvN 10th Anniversary “Asia Star Award” and 16th Top Chinese Music “Best International Artist” award.

In appreciation of all his supportive fans who have made his success possible, Park will embark on a fan meeting tour across 8 countries in Asia, namely Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and China. “2016-2017 PARK BOGUM ASIA TOUR FAN MEETING IN SINGAPOREwould be his first visit to Singapore. Not only will fans get to hear Park sing and share snippets of his work and life, there will also be segments for them to get up close and personal with the friendly star through games and activities.
